This is Tim Garland. I recently retired from the USAF out of Maxwell AFB Gunter Annex as a CMSgt. As most of you know, I had a bout with cancer and was medically retired from July 1984 until the end of Dec 1986 after two years of active service from Jun 1982 - Jul 1984. I returned to active duty and again was stationed at Maxwell AFB. Since then my career did a 360 and I ended up back at Maxwell AFB where I subsequently retired effective 1 Oct 2009. I'm currently in the civil service employee.

I have kept in touch with many of my former Maxwell AFB cop friends.

CMSgt John G. Boyles is an instructor at the USAF SNCO Academy.

Norwood A. (Andy) Miller is a cop with the Central North Carolina State University in Durham, NC. Also, he retired from the Durham PD in 2009.

Fred B. Keith (MSgt ret) lives in Union Grove, AL where he works at the Red Stone Arsenal as a DoD Police Office/Investigator.

Mike Doty (MSgt ret) works for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office in Montgomery, AL.

Steve Donohue (MSgt ret) works at the Federal Prison Camp on Maxwell AFB as an education counselor.

Tom Bell (MSgt ret) also works at the Federal Prison Camp on Maxwell AFB.

  4. Howdy Dave and Sandi ~ This Philip "J.P." Brown, and I administer this site.

We worked together for MSgt Price. "C" Flight included SSgt Goram, SSgt Aldridge, Sgt Forte, Larry Thomas, Mike Burns, Wayne Franklin, Joe Campbell, Beth Neibert, Charlie Beck, and I'm sure I'm forgetting somebody.

We're planning a reunion for either 2011 or 2012, so feel free to send us an e-mail, and we'll move you to the "Found" category. ~J.P.

  7. Other than this way, I don't know of any other way to post a 'profile'. Please give me instructions if I screw this up. This is MSgt (Ret) George J. Champion Jr., I retired from Maxwell/Gunter in August of 1994 and am now working as a window clerk for the post office at the the main post office near AUM. Been there for almost 14 years. Is there a specific site to go to in order to post more specific information. I got to Gunter AFB when it was an "Actual" AFB prior to the merger (nasty) cough. I got turned on to the site from David Atteberry the other day when he called me and told me about it. My e-mail is georgechampion@hotmail.com. This reunion is one of the most exciting things I can think of coming down the road in a long time. I go to a Union convention in Knoxville the first weekend in June so this is perfect timing for me. I be believe the "senior" is still working on Maxwell as a 'civilian' for the AF. If anyone remembers Ronnie Tiller and Jackie Sanders they are working for the Postal Service also. I will tell them about this web site. May God bless everyone and may the blessings of Jesus Christ come upon all and their families.

  9. This is Mike Best, I was at Maxwell AFB 83-86, If I remember correctly. Please add my contact information to your list. msbest1312@yahoo.com
Maxwell is where I met my wife Barbara, she worked in the hospital. I worked on C-flight and later on A-flight. I made it 10 years in the USAF before getting out and starting to work for the USPS and another 11 years there before they medically retired me in 2004. Now I live on a farm in Cullman Alabama and raise horses. Barbara is a Hospice nurse and still my best friend.
